This week, Art of RetroCollage decided to enter a contest. In association with Studio 360, the artists Jerry N. Uelsmann and Maggie Taylor are sponsoring a “Listener’s Challenge”: the artists are providing ten different images, and challenging the website’s listeners to combine them into their own collages, in any way they like.
Here are two of my contest entries:

Erato’s Dream (2012). Digital collage created & copyright © by Eric Edelman. All rights reserved.

Between Mother and Father (2012). Digital collage created & copyright © by Eric Edelman. All rights reserved.
I hope to have a few more collages ready by the entry deadline, which is December 2nd.

Best of luck to you in that contest Eric – I always enjoy seeing your work on WW!
Have you checked out Inspire Me Monday? We have a lot of Mixed Media artists who would enjoy meeting you and seeing your art there as well!
Have a wonderful week!
Thanks very much! Looking forward as always to your latest creations. Thanks also for recommending Inspire Me Monday; I will be sure to check it out (if any day of the week could use inspiration, it’d be Monday, for sure). Have a happy WW and week!
I really like the second collage.
Thanks very much, Diana–have a great WW and rest of the week!
I love the composition and frames in the 2nd one down!
Thanks, Alissa! Have an excellent WW and enjoy the rest of your week.
Nice entry. Hope you win. Report back next week?
Thanks very much, Rhonda–will do! Hope you have a great WW & a fine rest of the week.
This is always one of my favorite stops in the blogosphere. Happy WW.
That is praise indeed! Thank you very much, and I hope you have a happy WW also.
Beautiful collages Eric! I am so thrilled to see birds in both! I am a big bird enthusiast. All the very best in the contest. Great job! Thanks for hosting.
Thanks very much, Judy! I do hope one of my collages gets posted on the blog (being posted is the prize)–wider exposure is the thing! It’s always a pleasure to host you. Hope you enjoy WW & the rest of the week!
Very creative ! makes me think of Salvatore Dali but made with today’s techniques ! Great !
Thanks very much for your kind comment, Gattina! I’m glad you like the collages.
Excellent collages. I like both.
Thanks very much, Leovi!
Love those rich blues. Good luck in the contest.
Thanks very much, Robin! (I’ll need it.)
I think these are my favourites so far Eric …one word..Fantabulosa!
Have a good rest of week
Thanks so much, Steve! Hope you enjoy the rest of the work as well.
Very interesting and unusual…good Luck.
Thanks very much, Janet–I appreciate your good wishes!
These are fascinating. Tough competition.
Thanks very much; I appreciate your kind words. Yes, it is a tough competition indeed.
Good luck Eric! They’re both great, but Erato’s Dream is my favourite!
(having problems leaving comments again – thinks I’m a spammer!)
Thanks very much, Erika! Most people who’ve expressed a preference have plumped for Between Mother and Father, so a contrary opinion is always welcome.
Enjoy WW and the rest of your week!
LOL, typical of me to be different! Perhaps it’s because it reminds me of one of Chagall’s works? He’s one of my favourite artists
That’s an interesting idea. I see what you mean about it being similar to some of Chagall’s stuff. I’m flattered; he’s a darn good artist! Keep on being your great different self, by the way; the world needs more people who think, see, and feel differently–and fewer who will give in and conform!
UGH .. where did this day go … sorry to be so late AND so disorganized .. I entered twice .. once for each blog but labeled the links both with the same name .. lucky for me i used different links .. i am so sorry .. my apologies for any confusion
No problem, Daryl! Thanks for entering your linkies, and enjoy the rest of WW.
I love them both – they are very unique.
Thank you very much, Robin!
Good luck with the competition. Thanks for linking up to our Wordless Wednesday. We hope to see you again next week.
Thanks very much, Wayne! You will indeed see me again.
There’s a new WW collaborative Linky Party in town! Please add your Wordless Wednesday to http://wordlesswednesdaybloggers.blogspot.com.
Will do–thanks very much for the link!
