In a previous Art of RetroCollage post (“Is Collage a Secure State?“), the extent to which the National Security Agency is spying on Americans was briefly mentioned. Since that time, more revelations about the extent of the NSA’s illegal and unconstitutional surveillance of Americans have come to light. Our personal freedom and privacy—both in our homes and on the Internet—have never been as compromised as they are now.

is it more compromised or people are more aware of how much citizens are being reported on?

It’s a combination of both, Pearl: the Internet and worldwide freedom of speech are being ever more compromised, and we’re becoming aware of just how much we’re all being spied on.
