Love the quote and the collage of pictures. I’m travelling I’m just not sure on my final destination.

Eric Edelman February 22, 2012, 3:29 am

Thanks for the kind words, Pippa. I’m not sure of my “final destination” either (or maybe I am!), but I’d like to put off reaching it as long as I can; I’m enjoying traveling too much to want to stop!

jessica @peekababy February 22, 2012, 3:50 am

wow! i can’t even get my act together to make albums 😉

Eric Edelman February 22, 2012, 12:26 pm

Actually, if you’ve even got your photos on CD or a camera memory chip, you can do wonders with Shape Collage ( It’s a fun program to use, and it takes a lot of pain out of the organizing process if you want to make a collage. You can also “tweak” the collage (by changing the position of the photos or how they’re stacked on top of one another) by saving the collage as a Photoshop file, and working on it in Photoshop or GIMP (a FREE Photoshop-like photo-manipulation program). Very addictive–you may even end up making albums in preference to doing your chores!

Erika February 22, 2012, 4:42 am

Another great collage Eric! This reminds me of a vintage travel poster, and makes me want to fly away – anywhere to escape the cold !!!

Eric Edelman February 22, 2012, 12:29 pm

Thanks, Erika! It evokes thoughts of travel for me as well, though I’d probably go toward, rather than away from, the cold–perhaps to one of those Scandinavian ice-hotels.

Katya February 22, 2012, 7:15 am

What a grand composition of travel photos! Now you have made my restless wandering self WANT to travel!!!
Happy WW!

Eric Edelman February 22, 2012, 12:37 pm

Thanks, Katya! I’m glad the collage inspires you to travel. That’s what the old postcards I made it from always inspire me to do. But my trips are mostly of the “virtual” variety, and consist of voyages through time and space to the places portrayed on the cards.

Tina´s WW w linky February 22, 2012, 11:22 am

aquariann February 22, 2012, 12:17 pm

Amazing collection of sights!! I’m curious what the handwritten captions say.

Eric Edelman February 22, 2012, 12:55 pm

Thanks, Aquariann! If you want to know what they say, please let me know and I’ll send you a public link to a Facebook album of mine that all of the cards came from. Or, send me a friend request, and when I friend you, you can see the entire album (it’s called “Postcards from the Imago Nation”).

Sukhmandir Kaur February 22, 2012, 7:50 pm

I like how the plane is central to the journey!

Eric Edelman February 22, 2012, 9:31 pm

Thanks. It was serendipity. The program I used to make the collage put the plane in that place, & I liked it and left it there. Then it was a matter of tweaking the stacking order of all the neighboring pictures so that the airplane postcard didn’t “bury” them. Thanks again for your comment and your visit!

Tracy @ Ascending Butterfly February 22, 2012, 10:04 pm
