Happy New Year in Collage

 

 

[Note: The collage shown here, The Dream of a Celestial City, was created in 1999 as a physical, black and white collage of photocopied images cut and pasted together. The collage was colorized by first photocopying it only in blue on a color laser photocopy machine, hand-coloring the stars with red, green, orange, and yellow ink on the color photocopy, and then photocopying the resulting hand-colored copy in full color. The color version of the collage was created as the front of a New Year's card, which was hand-crafted and sent out to family and friends.]
